Official Baywatch Calendar Brings You Closer To The Action

Mitch Buchannon and his impossibly attractive team of lifeguards rally together in the official Baywatch 2017 calendar.

Offering a closer look at Paramount’s upcoming action romp, the calendar is packed to the rafters with action shots of Mitch and the gang celebrating festive occasions – everything from Halloween to St. Patrick’s Day gets a shoutout – embracing their ‘Dadbod’ and doing what they do best: saving lives.

On board to help Dwayne Johnson protect the bay are Zac Efron (Matt Brody), Alexandra Daddario (Summer), Kelly Rohrbach (C.J.), Ilfenesh Hadera (Stephanie Holden) and Jon Bass as Ronnie, a “funny, awkward and a skilled disco dancer at the beach.” After remarking on her slow-mo run – a not-so-subtle reference to the original TV series – Baywatch will find Ronnie head over heels in love with Rohrbach’s C.J., and you’ll be able to find hints of that romantic subplot plastered across the calendar above.

In terms of setup, we know that director Seth Gordon has taken a few cues from the Jump Street franchise when approaching Baywatch. There’s the R rating and star-studded ensemble, not to mention the meta, tongue-in-cheek script that looks to simultaneously poke fun at the camp TV series and embrace the film’s dysfunctional family for what they really are – a group of skilled lifeguards that quickly find themselves in over their heads after encountering Priyanka Chopra’s big bad, Victoria Leeds. Her mission? To exploit the Bay for monetary gain, and essentially transform Mitch Buchannon’s prized stretch of sand into a business venture. David Hasselhoff and Pamela Anderson will also crop up at some point in the story for cameo roles.

Following in the footsteps of Jumanji – another of Dwayne Johnson’s tentpoles that was recently delayed – Baywatch is due to open on May 26, shortly after Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales and Ridley Scott’s Alien: Covenant.
